Manoj is a budding entrepreneur working in the healthcare and med-tech space. Manoj graduated with a BE in Telecommunication Engineering from PESIT in 2014. His interests span over the areas of smart wearables, the Internet of Things, Machine Learning, and User Experience Design. He has published two international journal papers and has also filed for two patents. He is currently working on developing a smart IoT-enabled wearable device for newborns to track their vitals continuously and provide timely alerts to nurses in cases of distress conditions like Apnoea and Hypothermia for timely intervention thereby reducing infant mortality and morbidity rates.
This project is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the startup is recognized under Startup India Program and was featured by CNBC TV18 in the list of 10 most promising startups to look out for in 2018.
Manoj has also worked to develop a wearable device to detect emotion in children with Autism as Founder and product owner for the startup GlobSol. The device was developed and tested in close accordance with NIMHANS and ASHA where field trials were conducted, it also has a patent filed.
