The Changemakers’ Society has been an active community on campus since its inception in 2018. Founded by a group of young enthusiastic environmentally-conscious people, it has grown into a community of over 150 passionate members, striving to make the campus cleaner, greener, and more sustainable.
Currently, CMS is working to implement waste segregation and management on campus. They are working with the organization Beautiful Bengaluru in their ‘StopIndiaSpitting’ campaign. Apart from this, they are assisting the Altech Foundation in its efforts to make Bangalore a Net-Zero Water city. Their active social media page has been instrumental in creating awareness about the environment, climate change, and small daily tasks that can be done differently to reduce the negative impact on the environment.
CMS conducts frequent on-campus events like the Zero Waste Carnival combining fun and frolic and raising consciousness to cater to a wider audience.
